CSV is a text file in which data is separated by commas or other characters. A CSV file can be opened with any spreadsheet or text editor, but most users are most comfortable viewing a CSV file through spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel, Open Office Calc, LibreOffice, or Google Docs.
