The Vancouver International Wine Festival (VanWineFest) will return from March 7 to 14, 2026, at the Vancouver Convention Centre in British Columbia, Canada. This world-class event unfolds along the Pacific shoreline, surrounded by Vancouver’s iconic landmarks like Stanley Park, Gastown’s cobblestone streets, and the historic Granville Island Public Market. The festival is presented by Bard on the Beach, a local non-profit arts organization that reinvests proceeds into cultural and community programs. Known for its stunning harbor views and cosmopolitan charm, Vancouver is a vibrant city. It offers the perfect meeting point for wine professionals and global producers.
Since its inaugural edition in 1979, the VanWineFest has evolved into one of North America’s premier wine events. It began as a single winery showcase and has grown into an eight-day celebration featuring over 150 wineries from 15 countries. Each year, the festival selects a theme country, shaping special seminars and tastings around its wines and producers. The trade program includes exclusive industry events like masterclasses, tastings, trade-only networking lunches, and market-specific panel discussions. Attendees enjoy access to influential buyers, top sommeliers, and media from across the continent.
In 2026, the festival will focus on strengthening global trade, with curated experiences designed for wine importers and distributors. The Global Tasting Room will present hundreds of labels in a focused, business-friendly setting. Producers can participate in one-on-one meetings with trade professionals and explore expansion into the Canadian and U.S. markets. Educational programming will highlight trends in sustainability, premiumization, and regional growth. Additionally, the festival will host food and wine pairing events that showcase British Columbia’s culinary excellence. For professionals looking to expand their portfolio or deepen market reach, this event provides rich opportunities in a dynamic coastal city.
