WINOBRANIE 2025 takes place from September 6 to 14 in Zielona Góra, Poland’s celebrated wine capital. The festival unfolds around the City Centre and historic Market Square, close to landmarks like the 14th-century wine cellars and Lubusz Wine Museum. Visitors also explore charming medieval streets and the scenic Wine Hill overlooking the city. Organized by the Municipality of Zielona Góra and regional wine associations, WINOBRANIE taps into centuries-old winemaking heritage and vibrant local culture.
The first festival took place in October 1852, and since then the event grew into Poland’s largest and most traditional wine celebration. Every September during the grape harvest, the city sets the stage for the ceremonial handover of the city keys to Bacchus, the god of wine, followed by a festive parade. In recent years, the nine-day program features concerts, street theaters, sports, cultural performances, and vineyard tours via “wine buses”. Therefore, WINOBRANIE offers a seamless blend of tradition, entertainment, and professional tasting experiences.
For importers, distributors, and producers, WINOBRANIE 2025 presents rich business opportunities. The Wine Town and Market Square host tasting booths where local vintners showcase Solaris, Regent, Riesling, and regional sparklers. Moreover, guided vineyard visits let trade professionals discover grower stories and terroir nuance during the harvest season . In addition, networking with regional growers and wine experts sparks sourcing potential and distribution partnerships. As a result, professionals gain insight into emerging Polish varietals and cold‑climate techniques—ideal for portfolio diversification. So, WINOBRANIE 2025 delivers both cultural richness and strategic value for wine trade professionals.
